Reeves, Shumaker Place Third at Syracuse (1-13-12)

Louisville High School wrestlers brought home three medals from the Syracuse Invitational.

Steihl Reeves was the first LHS wrestler to medal, placing third in the 170 pound weight class, defeating Hunter Garrison of Tri County, 6-3, in the consolation finals. Tyler Shumaker also earned third place by defeating Auburn’s Nate Moran, 13-7. Both Reeves and Shumaker went 3-1 on the day improving their season record to 11-6 and 11-5, respectively. John Leversee, 11-10 on the year, placed fourth at 182 by going 1-2 in the meet.

The Lions now focus their attention on the Louisville Invitational to be held on Saturday. Action is expected to begin at 9:30 a.m.
