Lions Sweep Pioneers 2-0 Drop Closer to Chieftains 0-2 (10-6-11)

Louisville coasted to a 25-20, 25-21 victory over the Ft. Calhoun Pioneers in opening action of their own triangular. The Lions hosted Ft. Calhoun and ECNC foe Yutan in their final home event of the season.

Louisville opened against the Pioneers, dabbling with a 5-1 offense for the first time this season and featured a new line-up that allowed players to try new roles and gain valuable game experience. Senior Natalie Minchow sat out the match after fighting an illness for much of the week.

“Natalie has been sick and we wanted to give her some rest during the first match,” commented Coach Davenport. “We tried a 5-1 and got players on the court in different positions. I was happy with how the girls responded.”
