Bluejays Best Lions (9-15-11)

Ashland-Greenwood used a home court advantage and a veteran line-up to defeat the Lions 13-25, 12-25, 26-24, 14-25.

In their first best-of-five match this season, Louisville’s road weary squad started slow in the opening two sets before finding a court combination that could answer the offensive onslaught of the Bluejays’ front line.

Louisville took set three, 26-24, showing their own firepower behind the strong net attack of Natalie Minchow and sophomore Sam Lane who combined for 11 kills in the third set. Minchow finished the night with 13 kills with Lane chipping in 10. Ashland Greenwood returned to their early match form in the fourth set to cruise past the Lions 14-25.

Louisville, having played 13 straight road games, will bring a 7-6 record to their home gymnasium on Tuesday, September 20 against ECNC foe Mead.
