LHS Hosts Team Volleyball Camp (6-19-10)

Twenty-five Lions took to the court this week in preparation for the 2010 Louisville volleyball season this coming fall.

Cathy Noth, former player and coach at the University of Nebraska, put LHS athletes through their paces during the four day clinic which ended Thursday. Noth, a hitter and setter for the Huskers, led her team to four Big Eight regular season titles and four Big Eight Tournament championships from 1981-1984 before accepting an assistant coaching position at the university from 1988-1989.

Marge Davenport, LHS head coach, brought Coach Noth to the Louisville gym and assisted in conducting drills during the morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. before ending the day with afternoon sessions featuring team-building exercises.

“The girls have a great attitude,” said Coach Davenport. Despite warm temperatures, the Lions were spirited and determined in all their drills as they prepare for the upcoming season.
