Lemmers Wins Twice at JCC (5-7-10)

Dallas Lemmers brought home the only gold medals for the Louisville High School track and field teams at the Johnson County Central Invitational.

The senior distance specialist remained unbeaten for the 2010 season in the 3200, winning on the Tecumseh oval in a time of 10:27.2. Lemmers then returned to capture the 1600 title in 4:48.4, his sixth consecutive win in the event.

Top finishes for the LHS girls squad were turned in by sophomore distance runner, Sydney Stander, and Allyssa Terry, a junior hurdler.

Stander placed second in the 1600 (6:09.79) and 3200 (13:02.78) at JCC while Terry finished second in the 300 hurdles in a time of 52.21.

The Lions turn their attention to the C-1 District Meet at Yutan on Thursday, May 13. Field events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with running to start at 1:00 p.m.
